Every now and then you find a spot where the Ordnance Survey map has simply got a road wrong. Here it is 150m out and the stone is the other side of the road to where it out to be according to the map. This stone isn't marked, perhaps because it would have been in the road!

It is a tiny thing just over 1m tall, but it has a lovely diagonal quartzite face. There is another stone 30m away and they seem to align with the cliffy headland at Croaghdoo 1km NW.

This spot is fighteningly close to the cliff-top and the sound of the Atlantic Ocean crashing below is quite special.
