This site is also known as Cloch Aonach (the Stone of the Assembly), which probably refers to the fact that tradition states that when a couple get engaged they should entwine their fingers through the perforation near to the top of the stone accompanied by a group of people.
This round-topped pillar is 1.9m tall and has three circular mofifs on its northern face, which are linked by a vertical line. These are carved in false relief. The highest of these emcompasses the perforation and has a cross design within. The lowest has a flower (marigold) design, while the central one is a small raised disc or boss.
