This bullaun was moved here from The White Church (County Carlow) a few hundred meters up the hill. When Uta, my partner, spotted it I had to ask why they bothered, because it seems to have been thrown into the hedge and forgotten. The stone is now completey covered in ivy and it is almost impossible to make out the bullaun.

There is just a single hemispherical cup measuring about 20cm in diameter. The stone is a very rough slab about 1m square and 30cm thick. Although it was moved from the church to here in recent times, I would say that it is now in its orginal position next to the sacred well.

Shame it's not better looked after!
