This is the lowest of three mounds, Glenwanish (County Clare) being the topmost. Only two stones remain here, so there's not much to see - apart from the view that is! Lough Derg has gone from this site, you can no longer see it, but looking back up the hillside along the line of the three mounds is quite spectacular. Also, on the opposite hilltop the true outline of what I believe could have been a recumbent figure really does stand out from here.
The whole ridge opposite is packed with mounds, many of which are certain to be man-made. There is so much in this valley. One can only begin to imagine the importance it must have once held.
