This is a lovely tomb with excellently matched portal stones 1.9m high. The doorslab is not quite full height.
A fine back stone stands to a height of 1.5m. The displaced roof stone stands upright against one side, looking at first like a side stone for the chamber, but unless they are very low then none of the side stones are present. The capstone was dislodged only 60 or 70 years ago. It's such a shame that it is no longer in place, because this would then have been a very good looking tomb indeed.
The tomb is now on a modern droveway and is fenced in lightly for protection. This enclosure was full of high weeds on this visit, but I assume that in winter the structure would be fully exposed. I will definitely pop back to check it out.
It is beautifully situated in the bottom of a wide valley with low hills to the east, north and south.
