This has to be among the best looking capstones around. The huge flat fronted wedge shaped stone has a massive lump of quartz projecting from its flat front, like some mystical eye. You cannot help but feel watched as you approach.
The chamber is about 1m wide by 1.5m long and just 75cm high. Two beautifully matched, pointed portal stones finish off this really good specimen. It may not be the biggest, but it is thoroughly lovely.
A very low wall has been erected so that it coincides with the back of the chamber. This gives the impression that the rear of the capstone actually rests on the wall, but there is actually a small backstone.
Ease of access adds to all the other factors that make this a must see site.
