The setting for these stones seems as idyllic as you can get in a manmade landscape. They are a male/female pair set in beautiful water meadow next to small lake and unfortunately a drainage ditch, but the latter can be overlooked as it is swampy, overgrown and quite quaint in its own right.

We stood and viewed them from the road above, watching the shadows of the clouds and patches of sunlight scud across the fields giving a selective vibrancy to parts the little valley below.

Getting down to the stones is not all that easy, so with such a splendid vantage point we were happy to zoom in and or take in the whole scene.

The stones are probably around 1.5 to 2m tall. as in most genuine stone pairs, one is tall and more slender while the other is somewhat more 'chubby'.
