Visit Notes

Sunday, 15th June 2003

I wasn't expecting this at all. In fact I nearly drove straight past, because I was in a rush to get home. I am so glad I did stop, though.

The stone isn't visible as you approach from the west, due to a high bank and hedge, so its size really does take you by surprise when you do actually see it.

It is a mammoth slab over 3.5m tall, 1.3m wide and 30cm thick.
