This lovely grave stone had perfect light. I'm not sure of the age, but it sure wasn't made yesterday.

A little theory: I think the stones used to make the doorway of the 7th Century church may have originated in the avenue (now a 4-poster stone circle) on the hillside above.

This lovely page tells the story of St. Mologa. Apparently he was chased out of Ireland by the druids ... probably for pinching some of their avenue to build his church door!
